This is pretty well-documented out there, but we've had the question several times now from our clients so we're posting here.  Suppose you have 2 email accounts on the same provider (AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo) and you want to have them both open.  In IE 8, that's not possible "out-of-the-box" since it shares "Session information" (login info, etc) even when you start another instance of the program!  To get that separate instance that you can use for separate login, go to (1st pressing Alt if you don't see the menu!) File > New Session or create a shortcut to IE with the following: "iexplore.exe - nomerge".  We do know Chrome does not suffer from this - simply open a new instance and you get a new session.  Firefox or Safari?  we don't use these on a regular basis so let us know!

We just found a little study (which has been out forever apparently: http://gaudior.net/alma/johnny.pdf) about trying to get users to secure their emails.  The end result was that only 25% of those tested managed to get the encryption steps (in an old version of PGP) right.  The study wasn't done to discredit PGP or encryption, but rather to prove that unless its SIMPLE for the actual user, it will not work!  That's why TMCentral's Secure Messaging is THE solution:  your users don't have to think or worry about it - it just works!

Whether you love it or not, social networking is moving into location-basing.  Company Foursquare is entirely about where you are, while Twitter just announced today it would offer Location-based tweeting.  What are your thoughts on the privacy-vs-efficacy of location-based ads and services?

In the case of the cobbler's child, we've FINALLY finished our own website enough to publish.  As many of you may have seen, the prior (awful) one was merely to house this - our Blog.  Now its been a month without any Blog - but no loss because we haven't been active on it for many moons!  However, that changes with the conversion to the new website so look for tasty informational morsels here!
